Singing of Musical Theatre Genres II

Description

The main discipline of the Performing Arts specialization is dedicated to the comprehensive development of professional skills of a singer-soloist of concert genres. This discipline aims to improve students' interpretive, technical and artistic skills, expand their repertoire, create and realize artistic projects, initiate and carry out musical activities, creating activities and work opportunities for themselves and their partners, taking into account today's challenges for music performers in changing cultural and social contexts. The study content consists of the improvement of singing skills, the acquisition of the target repertoire, the adaptability of interpretive and technical knowledge of performance. In the second semester, it is planned to delve into and study the genres of German / French / Spanish musical theater genres of different epochs, styles and genres, to analyze the dramaturgy of the music piece, to create a stage image.

Aim of the course

To prepare highly qualified creative artists, singers and soloists who are able to influence the musical (cultural) tradition with their creativity and other artistic means, not only professionally performing music pieces in solo, ensembles of various compositions, with orchestras, but also analyzing, commenting and influencing processes of musical development.

Prerequisites

The student must have been taken the subject of Singing of Musical Theatre Genres (1) and passed his exam.

Course content

Assesment Criteria

The uniqueness of the composer's creative style is revealed in the excerpts of stage compositions written by German / French / Spanish composers of various epochs, styles, and genres. A musical dramaturgy of the music piece is revealed too, demonstrated skills of interpretation and performance, the correct phonetic sound of the language is saved, psychologically and artistically compelling personages are created, revealing their characters, the motivations and circumstances of their actions are convincingly conveyed.
