International Business Law

The purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge of the basic principles of international business law; legal regulation of foreign investments in Lithuania and opportunities for establishing and conducting business in the EU and to consolidate the practical skills required for further studies and professional activities. The study methods of the subject include interpretation, illustration, case study, problem solving, performance of practical tasks. After completing this course, students will be able to apply the legal norms of international business law and use them in practice.

The components of international business law and the main Lithuanian international legal acts related to the establishment and development of business not only in Lithuania but also in foreign countries are described and explained. 2. Business opportunities in EU countries are analysed and evaluated. 3. The main terms of international business agreements are analysed and evaluated. 4. The legal regulation of intellectual property protection has been assessed. 5. The main methods of dispute resolution between business entities are selected, presented and analysed.
