Swedish Language and Culture V
Description
This course aims to provide students with the Norwegian language competence, which will enable them to communicate in Swedish language in various situations, to read literary works and write texts on various topics.
Aim of the course
To develop communicative language competence, which includes linguistic, pragmatic and sociolinguistic components through the types of reception (listening and reading comprehension), production and interaction (speaking and writing) and mediation (translation) language activities at B2 level.

Course content
Topics for improving communication language competence:
Swedish education system;
Education of children;
Work, professions and work ethics.
Intergenerational relations, family values.
Traditional cultural values in Sweden and other countries
Linguistic topics:
Pronunciation and use of verbs with particles and prepositions;
Differences in the use of verbs with particles and prepositions;
Peculiarities of the use of compound prefixes (fast och löst sammansatta verb).
Peculiarities of article consumption.
Compound word formation and stress.
Synonyms and antonyms. Homonyms.
Slang.
Peculiarities of word order in sentences of various more complex constructions.
Assesment Criteria
1. The essence of many films sounding in Swedish is understood, the content of the films is discussed.
2. Communicates in many situations, engages in conversation on various topics of everyday life without preparation.
3. Writes a coherent text on well-known topics, presents and substantiates his/hers opinion.
4. Describes experiences and impressions, recounts the plot of a book, film, tells about the impressions of your trip.
5. Reads the indicated XX a.-XXI a. small-scale literary works by Swedish writers in the original language.
6. Literary texts and newspaper articles are correctly translated and stylistically and grammatically analyzed.
7. Self-translates more complex texts with a dictionary, is able to grammatically analyze and retell them.
