Interactive Multimedia and Animation

Description

The curriculum of this subject consists of two differentiated blocks: Animation and interactive multimedia. The goal of the first block (animation) is to enable the student to create its own animations in both 2D and 3D. Secondly, in the following block (interactive multimedia) the steps for creating a multimedia project are introduced, while analysing the specific terminology. Finally, the student will be required to craft a functional multimedia project by using all the acquired knowledge.

Aim of the course

Learn to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation and interactive multimedia products.

1. Steps of the creation of animation. 2. Principles of 2D animation. 3. Introduction to 3D Max software. 4. Basics of three-dimensional animation. 5. Modeling tools: lines, shapes. 6. Modeling tools: polygons, modifiers. 7. Bone animation. 8. Tissue, gravity simulation, particle systems. 9. The concept of interactive multimedia. 10. The tools of interactive multimedia creation. 11. Interactive projects using the Unity game engine. 12. Interactive multimedia and art.

Assesment Criteria

1. Ability to apply knowledge gained during lectures and practical sessions in practice. 2. The ability to creatively complete the given tasks.
