Project of Technology and Organization of Hydraulic Engineering Construction Works

Description

The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of water engineering and to develop general and special skills in the field of research, design, construction and maintenance of buildings. Students will be able to apply appropriate methods and techniques of construction organization, technical tools and technologies, principles of quality assurance. Students will gain skills for using normative documents, organize water construction works, calculate quantities and create their estimates.

Aim of the course

To provide knowledge of technology and organization of works of water engineering structure and to form general and special skills in the fields of research, design, construction and maintenance of structures by preparing the course project of the study subject.

Prerequisites

mathematic, surveying, engineering graphics, environmental and construction law, environmental and human safety, engineering hydrology and hydrogeology, geotechnics, building materials and building design, water management, geographic information systems, water business management, road engineering, damaged areas and landfill management technology, water supply, soil science, electrical engineering and electronics, drainage and irrigation, hydraulic engineering structures, hydraulic machines and hydroelectric power plants, marine hydraulic engineering, sewage engineering subjects.

Legal documents regulating the organization of water engineering construction works; Earthworks; Site preparation work; Cultural engineering works; Construction, repair, reconstruction and maintenance of concrete and reinforced concrete structures; Pile installation work; Special works; Ditch construction, repair, reconstruction, maintenance works; Drainage construction, repair, reconstruction, maintenance works; Construction, repair, reconstruction and maintenance of irrigation systems. Construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of hydraulic structures. Local road construction work. Construction, repair, reconstruction and maintenance of bridges and culverts; Construction, repair, reconstruction and maintenance of waterways, quays and ports; Cleaning and maintenance of water bodies. Assesment Criteria

1. Ability to identify the main methods and techniques of construction organization, technical means and technologies, principles of quality assurance, to identify environmental phenomena, international and national environmental and sustainable development problems and their causes. 2. Ability to apply appropriate construction organization methods and techniques, technical means and technologies, quality assurance principles. 3. Ability to use normative documents, organize waterworks construction works, calculate their quantities, and make estimates. 4. Ability to combine theoretical and applied knowledge in solving engineering problems.
