Managerial Decision Making

Description

The aim of this course is to study the basics of the managerial decision making (MDM) in organizations. In this course students acquire the basic knowledge of the MDM, gain skills in analysing and developing the rational MDM process, applying project management tools, learn to identify, assess and manage the impact of behavioural MDM factors - individual behaviour, social and organizational context.

Aim of the course

To teach students to apply the knowledge of MDM for the analysis of real business administration situations, for designing MDM process, applying project management tools, assessing the impact of factors of individual behaviour, social and organizational context on MDM.

Assesment Criteria

The student recognizes and explains at least half of the given decision making concepts The student recognizes and analyses the content of the rational process of decision making, according to at least half of the questions given for analysis The student demonstrates minimum sufficient knowledge of behaviour theory, analysing the individual, group and organisational behaviour factors, according to at least half of the given questions The student demonstrates minimum sufficient skills of a specific business administration situation analysis, decision making and implementation. The student demonstrates minimum sufficient skills of applying at least half of given project management tools to solving a specific business administration situation. Together with other group members, the student prepares a public oral presentation of his/her ideas, satisfying at least a half of the determined requirements The student is able to formulate his/her opinion and answer uncomplicated questions about his/her ideas The student works together, communicates with other members of the group and takes responsibility in order to achieve his/her personal goals
