International Security and Foreign Policy Strategy [POD 522]
Description
The goal of this course is to expose students to principles and practice of foreign and security policy formation and implementation. Special focus is devoted to development of analytical, critical thinking and group work abilities. The structure of the course includes lectures, discussions, individual research, group work on the project.
Aim of the course
To introduce students with the main theoretical assumptions of security and strategy studies, research tools, to deepen skills on article writing and project management
Prerequisites
Completed political science or international relations BA studies
Course content
Evolution of security concept, strategy understanding, security threats analysis, security and foreign policy of small, medium and great international actors.

Ability recognize threats to the EU energy security
Ability to recognize national strategies
Ability to raise scientific problems
Ability to provide arguments in the discussion
Jointly with the group implemented project
