Ecology and Global Change
Description
The purpose of the study subject is to enable students to acquire knowledge of factors affecting living organisms, ecosystem structure and interactions, the development and evolution of biosphere components, the diversity of natural resources, trends in their use, and principles of sustainable development in a global change context.
Aim of the course
To form a system of theoretical knowledge of living, nature, and ecosystems; to study the basic laws and methods of ecology; the regularities of the functioning of ecosystems; the interaction of biosystems with the environment; to form a concept about natural resources and their sustainable use; a system of protected territories; and the ability to independently assess ecological situations.
Prerequisites
The subjects of General Chemistry, Soil Science and Forest botany are completed
