Development and Neighbourhood Policy of the European Union

This course is aimed at analysing the instruments of neighbourhood and development policy of the European Union. Students will analyse and compare the political strategy and aims of the EU towards eastern and southern neighbours; will study the political initiatives and financial contribution of the EU to support democratization processes in the EU‘s neighbourhood, external actions of the main EU institutions, to solve the socio-political problems.

To provide with the knowledge and abilities to recognize, analyse and compare the forms and instruments of the EU support towards developing countries in the European neighbourhood.
