Accompaniment II

Description

Non-primary discipline of performing arts specialization, intended for the development of professional skills of a pianist – accompanist. This discipline aims to further elaborate ensemble playing, expand the repertoire, create and pursue professional music activities. Content of studies – enhancing the perception of accompaniment specifics, seeking of an individual interpretation solutions and forming an artistic personality. In the first semester it is planned to study the stage works of various genres and styles, large-scale vocal compositions and songs/Lied, instrumental pieces and concertos created by German/Austrian composers of different periods, to analyze the performing piece's dramaturgy and the relationship between music and text, to get acquainted with the phonetics of German language.

Aim of the course

To improve practical accompaniment skills, to master ensemble playing, to develop the quality of an artistic sound, analyzing the features of French/Italian/Spanish music styles, to stimulate original interpretive solutions and being able to realize them in high level artistic projects.

Assesment Criteria

French/Italian/Spanish composers work's musical text is accurately performed, convincing music interpretation and accompaniment technique are provided, the principles of piece's music form have been understood, all music language elements are clear, creative psychology, measures of an creative idea and its execution are properly used, specifics of the initial context were evaluated, musical material interfaced with voice and instruments evolution.
