Creative Multimedia

Description

This course provides practical skills and experience associated with the project realization or the final product release. Students are going to learn the basics of the process and are going to try to apply it in a practical task. This course aims to learn to analyze the existing products and to find the most effective technologies for the creation of their project, which should be competitive with similar products. Moreover, students are going to compare their final projects to other student projects and similar projects in the market and evaluate them.

Aim of the course

The course aims to acquire knowledge and experience in the practical realization of multimedia projects, improving abilities and competence in combining different multimedia elements into a unified product. Get knowledge about different multimedia technologies (audio, video, AI in multimedia, sensor-based, interactive multimedia technologies, fundamentals of XR).

Course content

1. Introduction of multimedia technologies. Introduction of multimedia application. 2. Virtual Environments (Unity). Modelling of 3D Environment. 3. Virtual Environments (Unity). Lighting of 3D Environment. 4. Virtual Environments (Unity). Post-Processing. 5. Scenario of Multimedia project. Planning, storyboard and sketch. 6. Video, Photo and audio technologies. 7. Composition, lighting. Stop-motion animation. Lighting in studio. 8. Interactive multimedia. UI and Computer Interaction. 9. Virtual Reality: VR, XR and MR. 10. Technologies of 3D modelling. Application of 3D. Digital Fashion. 11. 3D, 2.5D and 2D – forms of Graphics technologies. 12. Product Photography. 360 Photography.

Assesment Criteria

1. Students demonstrate the ability to analyze multimedia products (and technologies), and their commercial and social impact. 2. The student demonstrates knowledge about the applicability of multimedia. 3. The student demonstrates the ability to choose effective methods and apply them in the project work. 4. The student demonstrates the ability to analyze and evaluate a multimedia product. 5. The student presents the project work and creates a multimedia presentation for all course participants.
