Managerial Decision Making

Description

Course purpose – to study the peculiarities of managerial decision-making in organizations. Upon completion of the subject, students will acquire the knowledge and skills required to analyze real management decision-making situations, be able to make management decisions rationally, evaluate and manage the impact of individual, group and organizational behavior factors, communication and creativity on management decision-making.

Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills that would allow them to analyse real situations requiring managerial decision-making, to make rational management decisions, assessing the impact of behavioural factors.

Rational management decision making. Management decision making 8. Rational management decision making. Management decision implementation 9. Rational management decision making. Evaluation of results 10. Individual behaviour factors impact on management decision making 11. Group behaviour factors impact on management decision making 12. Organizational behaviour factors impact on management decision making 13. Communication impact on management decision making 14. Creativity impact on management decision making.

Assesment Criteria

1. The student recognizes and describes at least half of the basic concepts of management decision making. 2. The student names at least half of the stages of rational management decision-making and their components. 3. The student recognizes and explains the impact of at least half of the behavioural factors on management decision making. 4. The student is able to make management decisions by applying at least half of the principles of rational management decision-making, using various tools for management decision-making. 5. The student is able to analyse a specific business situation that requires a management decision, assessing the impact of behavioural factors on at least half of the criteria presented. 6. The student demonstrates the ability to communicate with others, share work, take responsibility for various tasks, present the results of independent work, defend and justify his opinion.
