Interactive Multimedia and Animation
Description
Course provides an introduction to interactive multimedia. Students are going to learn about various forms of interactive multimedia. Moreover, students are going to learn about means of expression. They are going to know and use media art as a practical approach. The main aim of this course will be to learn about multimedia functionality and user involvement. Students are going to learn about usability, art, technique and semiotic. They are going to learn and to use the strategy and tactics of the multimedia project preparation and development.
Aim of the course
Learn to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation and interactive multimedia products.

1. Steps of the creation of animation. 2. Principles of 2D animation. 3. Introduction to 3D Max software. 4. Basics of three-dimensional animation. 5. Modeling tools: lines, shapes. 6. Modeling tools: polygons, modifiers. 7. Bone animation. 8. Tissue, gravity simulation, particle systems. 9. The concept of interactive multimedia. 10. The tools of interactive multimedia creation. 11. Interactive projects using the Unity game engine. 12. Interactive multimedia and art.
Assesment Criteria
1. Ability to apply knowledge gained during lectures and practical sessions in practice. 2. The ability to creatively complete the given tasks.
