Landscape Management

Description

The purpose of the course is to enable students to acquire knowledge of the concept of landscape, the basic principles and principles of greenery planning, formation and protection; to assess the environment and the landscape; to prepare a territory management project.

Aim of the course

To create conditions to develop knowledge and skills about landscape assessment, formation and planning.

Prerequisites

Land reclamation, Road engineering, Spatial planning, Engineering graphics.

1. The concept of landscaping. Concepts of landscaping, general concepts of landscaping. Landscaping object. Environment in landscaping. Perception of the environment, its aspects. Natural environment. Anthropogenized environment. Anthropogenic environment. Environment and sustainable development. 2. The concept of cultural landscape. The main types of landscape. Assesment Criteria

1. Selection of the territory and determination of planning possibilities, evaluation of ideas. 2. An analysis of the current state of the environment has been performed. Natural, climatic, soil and hydrological conditions are assessed. 3. Landscape assessment according to dr. J. Kamičaitytė -Virbašienė landscape visual quality criteria set. 4. Functional zoning of the territory has been performed and planting norms have been established. 5. Visualization of the projected area and project preparation in AutoCAD program. An explanatory note to the project has been prepared.
