Research overview

The activities of the Cluster and the Center of Kaunas history are related, because its priority is the historical researches of Kaunas city and region. The main tasks of the Cluster are: to organize the conferences on urban history, to prepare and publish the materials of historical researches on Lithuanian towns and regions, the publications of iconographical, cartographical, material sources; to prepare and publish the bibliographies and other scientific publications on history of Lithuanian towns and regions;  to improve the cooperation between other Lithuanian scientific historical centers, eventually developing the common research programmes; to iniciate and participate in international programmes of urban history researches; to publish the results of researches in the international scientific press; to organize international historical conferences, concerning the questions of Kaunas city and region history.
