2024-2025 Intake is already closed!  The 2025-2026 academic year intake will open in early December 2024.

 

We are writing to inform you about scholarship opportunities, which include tuition fee waivers for the entire study period of full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs taught in English.

The scholarship application procedure is detailed step-by-step via this link under the section “SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCEDURE” (https://www.vdu.lt/en/studies/scholarships/ -> For Prospective VMU students -> Scholarship application procedure).

The deadline for scholarship applications is July 30.

Priority will be given to students with higher than C1 English language proficiency, higher GPAs, and those with results from scientific or artistic production or other scholarly activities, as the number of scholarships is limited.

Selected newly accepted candidates will be notified individually via email by August 10, 2024.

Дедлайн подачі заявок на стипендію - 30 липня. Пріоритет буде надаватися студентам з високим рівнем володіння англійською мовою (рівень C1 і вище), вищим середнім балом, а також тим, хто демонструє наукові або мистецькі досягнення, оскільки кількість стипендій обмежена.

APPLICATION AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Rules of Admission 2024

1. Copy of High School / Bachelor / Master’s degree diploma and its supplement: minimum 60 % CGPA. (Transcript of Records / Mark sheet). Documents must be provided in the original language and translated into English, certified by a Notary, and approved by an Apostille (for citizens of countries acceding to the 1961 Hague Convention).

Note! If the applicant is currently studying in the final year of high school / secondary school or University and their institution cannot issue a final graduation diploma before the application deadline, they should submit the recent transcript of academic records and the certificate indicating the date (year and month) of receiving a final secondary school certificate or final diploma.

Note! Please check specific requirements for the following countries.

Important! Requirements for documents:

  • All scans must be made from original documents (i.e., NOT copies), be in full colour, and be clear and legible. Any scans that do not meet such requirements will be disregarded;
  • Saved as JPEG or PDF formats, document photos are not acceptable;
  • If there are multiple pages of a document, please save them together in one electronic file;
  • Organize your documents in chronological order;
  • If you have attended multiple institutions, attach documents separately;
  • If you have multiple degrees, attach them separately.

2. Proof of English proficiency: the applicant has to present a recent and valid document proving B2 level (please check each certificate‘s validity period) if the applicant is not a native speaker and/or has not received education in English. If the applicant‘s previous education was in English, it is required to provide an official document from high school/university proving that the language of instruction was English.

The following certificates and scores are acceptable:

  • TOEFL 87-109 iBT/ 534–633 PBT
  • IELTS 5,5–6,5
  • Cambridge English First (FCE) 161–180
  • BEC Vantage 161–180
  • Michigan ECCE (min. 650)
  • PTE General Level 3
  • PTE Academic 59
  • TOEIC Listening & Reading 785, TOEIC Speaking & Writing 310
  • Duolingo 100–125
  • EnglishScore 400–499 (CoreSkills)

Note: Applicant, applying to Bachelor‘s degree study programme Accounting and Finance, has to present document proving at least A2 level English proficiency.

3. Motivational Letter (1200–3000 characters).

4. Curriculum Vitae (Resume).

5. Copy of passport or other documents of identification. Note! The document should be valid at least 2 years from the date of document submission for studies.

6. 1 recent photo (3×4 cm).

Application to Vytautas Magnus University is completely online (we do not evaluate documents received by e-mail). To proceed with your online application you have to:

  • Create an account in the online application system DreamApply;
  • Pay Application fee (100 Eur, non-refundable). Payment information will be provided in the invoice issued in your online application system account. Usually it takes few days to collect the payment by university;
  • Upload all required application documents indicated in Step 2;
  • Submit your application. You will be able to submit your application only after the application fee (100 Eur, non-refundable) is collected.

Note! An online application will be processed only under the status “Submitted” when all the required documents are attached, the application fee is paid and collected before the corresponding deadline.

After you have successfully uploaded all required application documents and application submission via our online application system, the initial assessment of the application will be carried out. If submitted application complies with the requirements, your educational documents will be processed for academic assessment and recognition. More information here.

If, after assessment, qualifications are considered to be equivalent to the education provided in the Republic of Lithuania, the application is considered and final decision of admission is taken by the faculty Admission Commission of the respective study program.

All accepted candidates receive a Letter of Acceptance which contains further instructions on how to finalize the admission. Applicants are requested to sign the Agreement of Studies and to pay the tuition fee for the first study year. More information regarding tuition fee payment here.

Things to consider:

  • If you are a non-EU applicant, you shall apply for a Temporary Residence Permit. More information here.
  • Decide if accommodation in VMU dormitories is needed. You may apply online when the accommodation application opens. You will be able to book accommodation on the same portal after your Agreement of Studies is signed with the same email and Username / Password. More information here.
