Research overview

The major involvement of the researchers‘ group of this cluster is interdisciplinary and comparative research of disintegration of communism, national liberation movements and post-communist transformations in Lithuania and East-Central Europe.

Members of the cluster are focusing their research on these areas:

  1. the processes of disintegration of the Soviet system;
  2. the functioning of culture under the conditions of occupation and independence;
  3. the change of collective identity and collective action;
  4. the formation of civic political culture;
  5. national liberation movements;
  6. the transformations of social mentality.
