Detailed instruction: HOW TO REGISTER

Before the beginning of every semester, we are inviting students to participate in the Survival Lithuanian course. This course introduces students to a very basic knowledge of Lithuanian that would help to “survive” in Lithuania. In this intensive course, students learn to introduce themselves, provide basic biographical information, ask for the prices while shopping, ask for directions, order food, and learn basic information about the university, as well as other useful everyday phrases in Lithuanian.

The duration of this course is only one week. This course has 2 ECTS.
The course is organised in two forms: online and onsite (you can choose).

Only those who register can participate. Students can choose the type of course: online or on-site.

Registration deadline - January 18
Registration form

Note for exchange programme students: if you decide to join this course, it must be included in your Learning Agreement.

DON@ – Donation Opportunities for Newcomers was an Erasmus+ Key Action 2 project under Partnership for Cooperation, implemented from 2022 to 2024.

Within the project, the initiative “Sharing is Caring” was launched, allowing departing students to leave items they no longer need and enabling newcomers to take items they require.

Since 2025, ESN VMU Kaunas has been responsible for organizing the “Sharing is Caring” events for students. The project’s main objective is to support student integration and improve the living conditions of students with fewer opportunities by promoting mutual support, inclusion, and sustainable development.

The next “Sharing is Caring” event is planned for August 2026. For updates, please follow ESN VMU on Instagram.
