Arrange your arrival and get mentor support
Come one week before the beginning of the academic year/semester as the VMU International Cooperation Department organizes Orientation Days, where the main academic information and lots of entertainment activities will be offered. Please check the academic calendar for dates and deadlines: here. In order to make the adaptation process of international students at VMU easier, the VMU International Cooperation Department has implemented a Mentors’ Programme. Note! According to VMU Study Regulations, full time study students shall register for studies and study courses during the first 2 study weeks each semester. Students who have not registered during the first month of the semester shall be removed from the student lists.
Documents which you must bring with yourself for studies:
- Original High School / Bachelor / Master’s degree diploma and its supplement (Transcript of Records / Mark sheet). Documents must be provided original and translated into English, certified by a Notary and approved by an Apostille (for citizens of countries acceding to the 1961 Hague Convention).
- Police Clearance Certificate. A certificate from a competent authority of a foreign state where you lived for more than 6 months before coming to the Republic of Lithuania. This document must confirm that you were not convicted in the corresponding state and must be approved by an Apostille or be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- If you are under 18 years old at the time you start studies at VMU, you must have a written consent of your parents, the guardian or other legal representative stating that they are giving you the permission to live and study in the Republic of Lithuania.
- A health insurance with Emergency Medical Evacuation and Repatriation Coverage (check the migration requirements for exact amount to be covered).
Register at VMU International Cooperation Department
After arrival to Lithuania, international students are welcome to register at the VMU International Cooperation Department. Registration dates and times will be sent to your e-mail address.
