Country Specific Requirements

This section provides information on requirements for credentials by country.

If the requirement below indicates that the submitted document should be original and/or sent by the awarding institution directly to us, the process of academic recognition of your obtained qualification will only be start once you submit the original paper document with fresh seals and signatures to our office and/or the documents from the awarding institution are received.

If your country is not on the list, please follow the General Documentation Requirements (Step 2).

Secondary Education
If you are applying for a Bachelor’s degree: 

  1. High School Graduation Certificate (Diplomë e Maturës Shtetërore) legalized with an “Apostille”. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Certificate of State Matriculation (Certifikatë Maturës Shtetërore) (4-5 exams passed) legalized with an “Apostille”. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  1. Bachelor Diploma legalized with an “Apostille”. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Bachelor Diploma Supplement/Academic Transcript legalized with an “Apostille”. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  3. It is required for the Official Academic Transcript to be e-mailed directly to our office recognition@vdu.lt from the educational institution e-mail address.

Requirements for Documents: 

  • All scans must be made from original documents the front and reverse sides (i.e., NOT copies), be in full colour, and be clear and legible. Any scans that do not meet such requirements will be disregarded;
  • All documents issued in languages other than English should be supplemented with an official translation. A translation is considered to be official when it is bound to a certified true copy of the document in the original language and is attested by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English do not require a translation;
  • Saved as JPG or PDF formats, document photos are not acceptable;
  • If there are multiple pages of a document, please save them together in one electronic file;
  • Organize your documents in chronological order;
  • If you have attended multiple institutions/have multiple degrees, attach them separately;
  • Scans must be named understandably (secondary education; examination results; bachelor degree; passport; name change, etc.);

Secondary Education
If you are applying for a Bachelor’s degree: 

  1. High School Graduation Certificate (Mijnakarg Yndhanur Krtoutian Attestat). Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Document of Unified State Examination Results (Единые госэкзамены) for admission to higher education institutions in Armenia. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English. The results of the examination cannot be lower than the minimum satisfactory grade approved by the state.

If you have not taken these exams, you should notify us, then in order to study at VMU, you will be required to take VMU Skills and knowledge test.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  1. Bachelor Diploma. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Bachelor Diploma Supplement. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;

If you are applying for a Bachelor’s degree: 

  1. High School Diploma (Orta təhsil haqqżnda attestat). Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Official results of the State Examination for admission to higher education institutions in Azerbaijan organized by TQDK or DIM. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English. The results of the examination cannot be lower than the minimum satisfactory grade approved by the state.

If you have not taken these exams, you should notify us, then in order to study at VMU, you will be required to take VMU Skills and knowledge test.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  2. Academic Transcript of the Higher Secondary Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Bangladesh (original);
  3. Secondary School Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Bangladesh (original);
  4. Academic Transcript of the Secondary School Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Bangladesh (original);
  5. OMPT exam is required  https://www.omptest.org/ .

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  1. Higher Secondary Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Bangladesh (original);
  2. Academic Transcript of the Higher Secondary Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Bangladesh (original);

  5. Bachelor Diploma attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Bangladesh (original);

  7. It is required for the Official Academic Transcript to be mailed by post, mailing address: Vytautas Magnus University, International Cooperation Department, Donelaičio g. 58, LT-44248 Kaunas, Lithuania; and e-mailed directly to our office recognition@vdu.lt from the educational institution e-mail address.
    Please note (!): An Official Academic Transcript is a document issued by the institution in an envelope which is duly stamped and sealed by the issuing institution.
  8. OMPT exam is required https://www.omptest.org/.

Secondary Education
If you are applying for a Bachelor’s degree: 

  1. High School Graduation Certificate – Atestat (атэстат аб агульнай сярэдняй адукацыi) legalized with an “Apostille”. Scan all pages of the whole document, both sides. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. A letter issued by the school providing information on the results of the passed state school leaving examination. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English.

If you have not taken these exams, you should notify us, then in order to study at VMU, you will be required to take VMU Skills and knowledge test.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  1. Bachelor Diploma legalized with an “Apostille”. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;

  2. The Official Statement of General Certificate of Education (ordinary and advanced levels) posted directly to Vytautas Magnus University, International Cooperation Department, K.Donelaičio g. 58, LT-44248 Kaunas, Lithuania by Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) Board in a sealed and stamped envelope or e-mailed directly to recognition@vdu.lt from an official GCE Board e-mail address;
  3. Documents attesting to any periods of post-secondary education (if any);
  4. Additional VMU Skills and knowledge test is required.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  1. Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate issued jointly by the school and local department of education. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Academic transcript for the last three years issued by the school. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  3. Verification report in English for China Secondary Education Qualification Certificate issued by CHESICC (chsi.com.cn/en/);
  4. Verification report in English for the Huikao or the new Academic Proficiency Test (Xueye Shuiping Ceshi/Kaoshi) results issued by CHESICC (chsi.com.cn/en/);
  5. Verification report in English for China College Admission Examination Scores (GaoKao) issued by CHESICC (chsi.com.cn/en/).

If you have not taken GaoKao exams, you should notify us, then in order to study at VMU, you will be required to take VMU Skills and knowledge test.

Please note that all documents issued in Chinese should be supplemented with an official translation into English or Lithuanian. A translation is considered to be official when it is bound to a certified true copy of the document in the original language and is attested by the translator’s signature.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

  1. Degree Certificate (original or certified authentic copy). Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Graduation Certificate (original or certified authentic copy). Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  3. Full Academic Transcript (original or certified authentic copy). Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  4. Verification report in English for Higher Education Degree Certificate issued by CHESICC (chsi.com.cn/en/);
  5. Verification report in English for Student Record/Online Verification Report for Higher Education Qualification Certificate issued by CHESICC (chsi.com.cn/en/).

Please note that all documents issued in Chinese should be supplemented with an official translation into English or Lithuanian. A translation is considered to be official when it is bound to a certified true copy of the document in the original language and is attested by the translator’s signature.

  1. General Secondary Education Certificate (Thanawiyya al-A’aamaI) as issued in Arabic. Document must be provided in the original language and translated into English;
  2. Official General Secondary Education Certificate examination results completed after 12 years of education, indicating all the subjects and grades earned, issued in English and legalized by the Ministry of Education in Egypt and by the Lithuanian Embassy in Egypt https://eg.mfa.lt/en (original);
  3. Additional VMU Skills and knowledge test is required.

Please note that documents issued in Arabic should be supplemented with an official translation into English or Lithuanian. A translation is considered to be official when it is bound to a certified true copy of the document in the original language and is attested by the translator’s signature.

Higher Education
If you are applying for a Master’s degree:

If you are applying for a Bachelor’s degree:

  1. Secondary School diploma (Sashualo Skolis Atestati) or General Education Diploma (Sruli zogadi Ganatlebis Atestati);
  2. Results of the Unified National Examinations (Ertiani Erovnuli Gamocdebi) from the National Testing and Assessment Center. The results of the examination cannot be lower than the minimum satisfactory grade approved by the state.

The submitted originals can be picked up in our office and returned in a registered letter, or you may arrange for a courier service pick up at your own expense.
