Cultural Cinema Collective
The Cultural Cinema Collective is a student-led initiative dedicated to uncovering the connections between cinema and the diverse cultural, historical, and social landscapes that shape our world. Through the medium of film, we explore the richness of global cultures, offering members a unique opportunity to engage with stories and perspectives from around the globe.
Our meetings are centred around carefully chosen films, each selected to provide a deeper understanding of the societies they come from. By examining these works through interdisciplinary lenses—such as history, political, philosophical, anthropology, sociology, linguistics, and feminism—we foster meaningful discussions highlighting the interplay between cinema and its broader context. This approach enriches our appreciation of film as an art form and deepens our understanding of the human experience. It is a collaborative and inclusive space where diverse perspectives are celebrated.
Join our WhatsApp group to be part of the community. English is the preferred language for our discussions and group meetings.
Together, we celebrate the beauty, complexity, and diversity of our shared world.
