Settlement with the University

All Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) students can check the status of settlement with the university (settlement for dormitory, tuition fees, library, Lithuanian student ID card, etc.) in the Student Self-Service Portal -> Settlement with the University. 

Settlement with the university is an integral part of Description of Student and Listener Settlement with the University Procedure. This procedure regulates students’ settlement with the university and the responsibilities of the university subdivisions before diploma, its supplement or the transcript of records award procedure, or when student voluntarily terminates studies at the university, or is eliminated from the lists of the students.

Students have to settle with the university when:

Student who is finishing his/her studies, internship or research visit at VMU shall complete the procedure of settlement with the university at least 3 (three) days before leaving the university in the following order:

  • Check the status of settlement with the university in the Student Self-Service Portal -> Settlement with the University and, if necessary or on demand of VMU Student Affairs Department, student has to clear his/her debts for the university and shall inform respective divisions about it.
  • Complete online questionnaire about studies in the Student Self-Service Portal.
  • Click on the button “Finalize” (after you leave VMU dormitory) and obtain confirmation that university has no claims regarding failed to fulfill obligations or its improper fulfillment after completing your studies.
  • Transcript of Records (document with gained credits and grades at VMU) will be attached to online application form (https://epasirasymas.vdu.lt) by the VMU International Cooperation Department.

Student shall complete the procedure of settlement with the university at least 3 (three) days before the graduation ceremony in the following order:

  • Check the status of settlement with the university in the Student Self-Service Portal -> Settlement with the University and, if necessary or on demand of VMU Student Affairs Department, student has to clear his/her debts for the university and shall inform respective divisions about it.
  • Complete online questionnaire about studies in the Student Self-Service Portal.
  • Click on the button “Finalize” (after you leave VMU dormitory) and obtain confirmation that University has no claims regarding failed to fullfil obligations or its improper fulfillment after completing your studies.
  • Receive your Diploma during a Graduation Ceremony at VMU.

A student who has expressed an intention to voluntarily terminate studies at the university shall complete the procedure of settlement with the university in the following order:

Student, who was excluded from the student lists under the regulations of university legal acts, shall complete the settlement procedure with the university in the following order:

  • Student, who was informed about the elimination from the lists of students, has to visit or contact the Faculty or VMU International Cooperation Department in order to know the reasons of elimination and get information about the possibilities to continue studies at VMU.
  • Visit or contact VMU Students Centre in order to learn about possibilities to continue studies or to complete the procedure of settlement.
  • Check the status of settlement with the university in the Student Self-Service Portal -> Settlement with the University and, if necessary or on demand of VMU Student Affairs Department, student has to clear his/her debts for the university and shall inform respective divisions about it.
  • Complete online questionnaire about studies in the Student Self-Service Portal.
