Recovery of Ukraine: New Opportunities and Development Scenarios

1

On Saturday 21 February, 10:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., an international forum titled “Ukraine’s Recovery: New Opportunities and Development Scenarios” will take place at the Assembly Hall of VMU Education Academy (T. Ševčenkos g. 31, Vilnius). The event is organized by the Ukrainian Centre at VMU.

The forum will focus on the reconstruction of Ukraine and its European future. Members of the VMU community will have the opportunity to travel to the forum from Kaunas by a special bus.

The forum will bring together representatives of government institutions, experts, and members of the academic community for discussions on practical steps toward recovery: from energy and public governance to European integration and demographic challenges. Special attention will be given to the transition from short-term assistance to long-term partnership between Ukraine and Lithuania.

The program includes two panel discussions on Ukraine’s recovery scenarios, international partnership, and European integration. Practical ideas for long-term cooperation and preparation for EU membership will also be shared. The event will feature presentations of initiatives by the Ukrainian community, the signing of a memorandum on continued support for Ukrainian centres, and a networking fair.

The guest of honour will be the First Lady of the Republic of Lithuania, Diana Nausėdienė.

The forum will be held in English.

Those wishing to attend the forum from Kaunas are invited to reserve a seat online on the special bus traveling to and from the event. The bus will depart for Vilnius at approximately 9:00 a.m. and return to Kaunas at approximately 6:00 p.m. More detailed information will be provided to those who reserve seats.
