Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Vytautas Kavolis Transdisciplinary Research Institute is among the 17 partner institutions participating in the Horizon Europe project GGP-ACE (Generations and Gender Programme – Activation, Consolidation, Expansion), which has been awarded €1.5 million in funding for a duration of two years.

The project is coordinated by the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI), part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).

GGP-ACE will advance the transition of the Generations and Gender Programme into a permanent European Research Infrastructure Consortium (GGP-ERIC), supported by a substantial number of founding members.

The project will establish an operation-ready Central Hub and implement the governance, legal, and financial frameworks required to ensure long-term sustainability. It will further consolidate methodological and technical standards, strengthen interoperability with other European research infrastructures, and expand membership and international partnerships.

Through these coordinated efforts, the project will reinforce Europe’s capacity for high-quality, cross-national demographic and family research and provide open and FAIR data to researchers, policymakers, and societal stakeholders.

The VMU project team will include Prof. Dr. Aušra Maslauskaitė, Dr. Vytenis J. Deimantas, and Dr. Dovilė Galdauskaitė.
