Fostering Quality Culture: Representatives from European Universities Share Experiences at a First International Initiative organized by VMU
From April 7th to 11th, 2025, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) hosted the international Erasmus+ BIP event "Fostering Quality Culture in HEI," dedicated to quality assurance experts from higher education institutions. The event was organized by the VMU Study Quality Department to create a platform for sharing best practices, discussing quality assurance challenges, and strengthening international ties among colleagues.

New VMU Vice-Rectors Have Been Approved
The Council of VMU has approved the university's vice-rectors for the upcoming term. The newly approved Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Finance Prof. Dr. Astrida Miceikienė, Vice-Rector for Studies Assoc. Prof. Rytis Pakrosnis, and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations Dr. Rolandas Urbonas will start work on 1 October, together with VMU Rector-Elect Prof. Dr. Ineta Dabašinskienė.

VMU Hosting Exhibition Dedicated to Ukrainian Children in Russian Captivity
The Madonna Icons on Ammunition Crates, an exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian children held in Russian captivity, is currently open at VMU Central Building (28 S. Daukanto g., Kaunas), near the Mariupol State University’s Centre. The exhibition’s authors are Ukrainian artists: painter, book illustrator Sonya Atlantova and artist, writer Oleksandr Klymenko.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), member and current president of the Transform4Europe Alliance, hosted the award ceremony of innovative teaching and, for the first time, non-academic staff. The awards recognised the most innovative practices introduced by the employees of the alliance’s universities.

Student Dance Festival “Baltics Dancing”
Baltics Dancing is a student dance festival with a history dating back to 1965. The festival is alternately hosted in the Baltic countries, and this time, it will take place in Lithuania. Celebrating its honorable 60th anniversary, the event will bring together students from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia for a shared celebration. The festival is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of folk dances, songs, and the cultural heritage of the three Baltic nations.
