VMU Hosted International Scientific Conference BalTick25
The international scientific conference BalTick25 was held at Vytautas Magnus University on 1–3 October 2025. The aim of the conference was to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge and advanced practices among experts in acarology, veterinary science, medicine, and ecology in order to gain a better understanding of the role of ticks in ecosystems and public health.

VMU is pleased to invite you to register for the upcoming Strategic Policy Conference "Universities Shaping the Future: Building Resilient Societies through Innovation and Global Impact", which VMU will host on October 21-22, marking the conclusion of its T4EU presidency. Students for students: become a mentor who inspires
Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) continues to expand its student mentoring programme “Peer-to-peer". The aim of this mentoring programme is to strengthen mutual support among students and provide assistance to students who need advice and support in dealing with various challenges in university life that cannot be directly addressed by university departments and/or with whom they do not have an adequate connection (do not know them), thus promoting a sense of community among students and the university.
Foreign Lithuanian Scholarship Competition for Vytautas Magnus University Students
Vytautas Magnus University announces a foreign Lithuanian scholarship competition for VMU students. The foreign Lithuanian scholarship is awarded to the same person once during the entire period of study. The scholarship amount is 1000 EUR. Documents are accepted until October 15.
VMU Hosted 34th International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks
On September 9–12, 2025 Kaunas hosted the 34th International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks (ICANN 2025) – a major international event in artificial intelligence and neuroscience. Since 1992, ICANN has grown into one of Europe’s most important conferences in the fields of artificial intelligence, deep neural networks, neuroscience, and neurotechnologies.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) is once again inviting audiences to mark October – Month of the Lithuanian Diaspora. Now in its fifth year, the initiative encourages people throughout October to explore the history of the Lithuanian diaspora, the work of its communities and Lithuanian schools abroad, and the creative contributions of diaspora artists.
