VMU Botanical Garden to Host Ukraine Solidarity Run
On Saturday 26 August, 11 a.m., at VMU Botanical Garden (6 Ž. E. Žilibero g.), Ukraine solidarity run will be organised to honour Ukrainian warriors. Members of VMU community are invited to participate and register online.

Ukrainian students feel at home at VMU
Since the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has welcomed more than three hundred Ukrainian students and, on the initiative of the First Ladies of Lithuania and Ukraine, Diana Nausėdienė and Olena Zelenska, opened the Centre of Ukraine, a humanitarian and educational space established in the premises of VMU Education Academy in Vilnius. The Centre has already been visited by more than 24,000 Ukrainians. Ukrainians studying at VMU actively participate in community activities, volunteer at the Centre of Ukraine, and firmly believe that the experience gained at the University will aid them in rebuilding their homeland.

Registration for Conference on Innovative Teaching Methods
On 26-27 September, conference Inno-Methods for Quality Curricula will be held in Trieste, Italy. During the event, workshops, a roundtable discussion and the T4EU Innovative Teaching Awards will also be held. Lecturers and researchers are invited to register as speakers at the conference, attend workshops and improve their skills. Application deadline is 15th of August.

Prof. Vilma Bijeikienė, Vice-Rector for Communication at VMU, discusses the importance of language skills and a multicultural environment, not only for getting acquainted with the achievements and innovations of other countries but also for promoting the Lithuanian language, culture, and scientific accomplishments.
