Projects
Vytautas Magnus University actively participates in the implementation of international and national research and experimental development projects, emphasising the innovativeness and interdisciplinarity of project outcomes achieved through scientific cooperation, as well as the significance of their practical application for ensuring and improving the quality of research and studies.
The university participates as a coordinator and/or partner in Horizon Europe, the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), Erasmus+, Nordplus, and other international research programmes.
University researchers also implement national projects under various programmes funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds and administered by the Research Council of Lithuania (RCL), the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA), the European Social Fund Agency (ESFA), and the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA). These projects focus on the realisation of research potential, the dissemination of results, and the implementation of smart specialisation areas and priority areas within them.
Vytautas Magnus University develops opportunities for the commercialisation of research activities on an annual basis, seeking to ensure the availability of research and experimental development services, to strengthen partnerships between science and business, and to promote the creation of new enterprises and the patenting of innovative products. The University’s Intellectual Property Management Procedure, established and implemented in 2017, encourages the patenting of new products, innovative technologies, and methods developed at the University and promotes the protection of copyright.
Currently, more than 100 projects in the fields of biotechnology, biophysics, technology law, digital technologies, economics, education sciences, sociology, philosophy, computational linguistics, language acquisition and bilingualism, creative industries, researcher mobility, and other areas are being implemented at Vytautas Magnus University.
