Invitation to Become a Mentor for Foreign Students of VMU

International Cooperation Department (ICD) of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) together with student organization ESN VMU would like to invite all students to become mentors for incoming foreign students!

An international team of mentors gathers students from all over the world who, until recently, were the ones who needed a mentor. Today, the team is looking for new members who would like to improve their foreign language skills, better get to know other cultures, gain more international and volunteering experience.

All interested students should fill online application form until 1st of June.

Who is VMU mentor?

Mentor of international students – it’s VMU student who is tolerant toward all cultures, is able not only to catch up in the university space, but also to help a new student from abroad, who is familiar with not only VMU, but also Lithuanian life.

The main task of an international student mentor is to help a newly arrived student to get used to Lithuania and the university. Before the student arrives, it is important that the mentor keeps in touch with him / her, tells him / her what to expect in Lithuania, and when the student arrives – he / she shows where the student’s future place of residence is located and of course the university itself.
