Contest for Teaching and Training Visits under Erasmus+ Programme

International Cooperation Department invites all VMU academic and non-academic staff members to participate in the contest for Erasmus+ teaching and training visits in Partner countries1. 

More information about Erasmus+ teaching and training visit could be found at VMU International Cooperation department website. 

All VMU staff members who wish to participate in the contest are welcome to fill in the application form until November 10, 2022. Application form has to approved by the direct manager. 

Note: VMU staff members can submit 1 application where they are allowed to choose up to 2 countries / universities (list by priority). If there are more than 1 application, they will be rejected. 

Signed and scanned application in a pdf file and the same document in doc/docx file has to be sent to erasmus@vdu.lt 

In the selection for Erasmus+ teaching visits priority is given to: 

  • Candidates teaching English or other foreign languages at VMU;
  • If during these visits new teaching material/ programmes are developed; 
  • If relationships of academic departments are developed and strengthened during these visits, as well as development of future cooperation projects; 
  • Candidates whose faculty is more active in Erasmus+ activities; 
  • Candidates who selected to teach more hours during the visit (minimum requirement is 8 hours per week); 
  • Candidates participating in Erasmus+ teaching visits programme for the first time or lesser times than other candidates over the past 3 years. 

In the selection for Erasmus+ training visits priority is given to: 

  • Candidates participating in Erasmus+ teaching visits programme for the first time or lesser times than other candidates over the past 3 years. 
  • Candidates who are not already selected for Erasmus+ training visits in Partner countries; 
  • Candidates who have a longer work experience at VMU; 
  • If relationships of academic departments are developed and strengthened during these visits, as well as development of future cooperation projects; 
  • Candidates who are active in developing internationalization at VMU: organizing student/staff exchange, developing international joint/double degree programmes, developing courses/programmes taught in English, developing international projects, etc. 

Selected participants will receive: Grant 

180 Eur per day 

Grant to cover travel costs (the amount depends on the distance between VMU (Kaunas city) and place of receiving HEI (city)2 

100-499 km – 180,00 EUR; 

500-1999 km – 275,00 EUR; 

2000-2999 km – 360,00 EUR; 

3000-3999 km – 530,00 EUR; 

4000-7999 km – 820,00 EUR; 

More than 8000 km – 1500,00 EUR
