Citizens of Ukraine are Invited to Enroll at VMU

Vytautas Magnus University is inviting Ukrainians to choose full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree studies in Kaunas and Vilnius. The university also offers tuition fee waivers up to 100 percent.
Ukrainian citizens residing in Lithuania, Ukraine, and other countries, who have completed or will complete their secondary education in Ukrainian schools, and who have obtained or will obtain a Bachelor’s degree in any country, are eligible to apply directly to Vytautas Magnus University. Students will receive the following offers:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree study programmes (in English). List of study programmes can be accessed here.
- Bachelor’s degree study programme Accounting and Finance (1st year is taught in Russian, from the 2nd year the language of instruction is English).
- VMU tuition fee waiver up to 100 % for the entire study period depending on the study results.
- Possibility to be accommodated at VMU dormitory free of charge depending on dormitory availability and number of admitted students.
Priority for tuition fee waiver will be given to those applying to below mentioned Bachelor’s degree study programmes:
- World Politics and Economy
- Foreign Languages and Cultures: Italian Studies and Romance Languages, German Language and Communication
- Sociology and Anthropology: specialization Society, Culture and Communication
- Accounting and Fincance / Учет и Финансы
- Pedagogy of Primary Education and Early Language Learning
- Biology and Genetics

Ukrainian citizens who are living in Lithuania and are receiving secondary education in Lithuanian secondary schools, and wish to study for a bachelor’s degree in Lithuanian or English language, must submit their study applications through LAMA BPO. Students who apply in this manner can:
- Apply to more than 60 Bachelor’s degree study programmes. List of programmes can be accessed here.
- Admissions are carried out through the Lamabpo.lt system from June 1st until August 22th (the main admission round ends on July 24th).

Important!
In 2024, students in Lithuania who have obtained secondary education must have three state exams – in Lithuanian language and literature, mathematics (excluding the programs of arts studies group) and the optional state maturity exam, with an average grade of no less than 36 points.
In 2024, Ukrainian citizens who are high school graduates may be exempt from the state Lithuanian language and literature final exam. For those who have decided not to take this exam in 2024 and have submitted requests for exemption, their annual grade will be evaluated when applying for higher education. More information here.
If an applicant will apply for studies in Lithuanian language but has not taken the Lithuanian language exam, they will need to prove their proficiency in Lithuanian language (not lower than B2 level) with a document issued by a competent institution or pass a Lithuanian language entrance examination.
