Invitation to Participate in a Digital Film Contest “100 Words”

To commemorate the centenary of the University of Lithuania, VMU Institute of Foreign Languages invites students studying languages at A1-B1 levels to participate in a digital film contest "100 Words". Students are invited to compete by selecting and interacting with words as creatively and ingeniously as possible. It may be a film of a 100 most frequently uttered baby words, maybe it will be 100 synonyms to describe future students, or a 100 borrowings from Italian cuisine, or maybe the next 100 of technical innovations in multiple languages?

VMU Student Surveys Results on the Quality of Teaching and Learning

At the end of each semester, students of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) bachelor, master, integrated and professional studies express their opinion on the quality of teaching and learning of the studied courses. The survey is conducted online. Students are provided with separate questionnaires about different teachers of study courses (except for internships, coursework, research, and final theses). During the survey, students also evaluate their own activity in the study process – learning and completing tasks.

University Fees Exemptions Were Awarded for Students

Vytautas Magnus university (VMU) publishes the results of an open competition for university fee exemptions for Spring semester 2021/2022. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).

Transform4Europe Culture Festival in Kaunas

Highly anticipated throughout the Transform4Europe Alliance, a week from the 4th to the 8th of May, 2022, will be dedicated to culture, discoveries and valuable connections when Vytautas Magnus University, together with the entire community of the Alliance, will be holding a Festival of European Culture. It is nothing short of symbolic that the first cultural Festival of the Alliance will occur during the year when Kaunas is the European Capital of Culture. A 4-day festival will invite students and staff members from the Alliance partner universities to Kaunas city, where an exciting programme will be waiting for them.

Transform4Europe, an alliance of seven European universities, gives VMU students the opportunity to go abroad for academic exchange according to each student’s personal profile. Academic exchange abroad is not only an opportunity to gain knowledge in the most advanced institutions in the subject of study, but also an opportunity to get acquainted with different European cultures and to forge personal and professional relationships for the future.

Erasmus Days ’22: International Mobility Possibilities

At the beginning of every semester, VMU International Cooperation Department (ICD) invites all VMU students to an event favoured by both the local and international students called Erasmus Days. This event combines an introduction of the practical knowledge about Erasmus exchange opportunities with entertaining and exciting events for students to get a glimpse into their international experience.
