University Fee Exemptions Were Awarded for Students
Vytautas Magnus university (VMU) publishes the results of an open competition for university fee exemptions for Autumn semester 2022/2023. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).
12th ICA Rectors and Deans Forum 2022
Association’s for European Life Science Universities (ICA’s) Rectors and Deans Forum 2022 “Bending the Curve for Biodiversity: challenges and opportunities for life science universities” & “Life science universities addressing Knowledge Security” will be held on 20 and 21 October 2022 at Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy (VMU AA), Lithuania.
Former President of Germany Joachim Gauck to visit VMU
The former President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck, will be visiting Lithuania on 18-21 October. The guest will be awarded the regalia of Honorary Doctor at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). He will also hold a discussion with students at the university on how the neo-Stalinist regime of Vladimir Putin became entrenched in Russia due to the absence of desovietisation.
Transform4Europe Invites Students to Free Courses
We invite students to register for free courses at Saarland University in Germany and at the University of Trieste. This opportunity is provided by Vytautas Magnus University’s membership in the international alliance “Transform4Europe”.

Every year, students from all over the world come to Vytautas Magnus University. Some for just one semester, others for full-time studies, which provide an opportunity to stay in Lithuania for a longer period of time. But no matter how long they stay in Lithuania, the first days are confusing and at the same time most memorable. To make it easier for incoming students to take the first steps in the country and not to get lost, Vytautas Magnus University International Cooperation Department invites VMU students to become mentors of international students and to lend them a helping hand!
„Lithuanian National Security Conference 2022“ will take place at VMU
The unprovoked and ongoing aggression of Russia against Ukraine have created instability in the region, in Europe and in the world. This special situation does not leave anyone indifferent in Lithuanian society, as well as in the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, which from the very beginning of the war actively supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and provides support to Ukrainian Armed forces. Nationwide National defense is one of the guarantors of security for small states, so it is important for us to understand the contemporary geopolitical context, the possibilities of defensive activities of society, as well as to learn from the experience of the war in Ukraine. On November 15, the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, together with Vytautas Magnus University, organizes the „Lithuanian National Security Conference 2022“ which will take place in the Great Hall of VMU, S. Daukanto str. 28, Kaunas.
