VMU to Work on EU Project on Gender Equality in Academia and Science

On 23 January, international scientific project SPEAR, which focuses on gender equality in the academic and scientific community, will be launched in Odense, Denmark. The project, funded by the EU‘s Horizon 2020 Science with and for Society (SwafS) programme, involves 11 partners from 9 European countries, including Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania). The project’s coordinator at VMU is Prof. Natalija Mažeikienė from the Dept. of Social Work.

VMU Organized Training for Lecturers from Ukraine

On 3-5 December, VMU was visited by lecturers from Ukraine, who came here as participants of Erasmus+ project Rethinking Regional Studies: The Baltic-Black Sea Connection. In the project, VMU is represented by the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy, while its goal is the europization of the MA degree studies of political sciences offered by the universities of Odessa, Lviv, and Kiev (Ukraine).

VMU Aquired Archive from Ukrainian Psychiatric Association

Andrei Sakharov Research Center for Democratic Development at VMU has acquired a new unique archive which contains the files of all the complaints that a special office of the Ukrainian Psychiatric Association received in 1991-2001 from people who believed they were victims of political abuse or other malpractices.

Prof. Ričardas Krikštolaitis Attended Energy Conference in Brussels

On 5-6 November, Prof. Ričardas Krikštolaitis, the head of VMU Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics, attended the international conference Central European Day of Energy 2018 (CEDE) organized in Brussels, the headquarters of the European Commission. The event was organized by Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) in cooperation with the DG Energy of the European Commission and partners, including VMU.

Putvinskio g. 23, Room 311) by Jurgita Germanavičienė, advisor of the European Union Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
