First Annual Transform4Europe PhD Conference to take place in December
The first annual Transform4Europe conference “Societal Transformations and Sustainable Development with Respect to Environment in the Post Covid-19 Digital Era“ will take place on 8-9 December 2021, in Sofia (Bulgaria). An international multidisciplinary conference is designed for PhD students and early-stage academics.

VMU library enriched with new books about Latvia
In 2021 marking the centenary of Latvia’s state recognition de jure, the National Library of Latvia donated to Vytautas Magnus University a collection of books representing Latvian history, art, literature, ethnic and contemporary culture. The books are published in English, so their content will be available to a wide range of readers.

On October 20–26, Professor Birutė Galdikas, a world-renowned scientist of Lithuanian descent, anthropologist, primatologist, the most prominent researcher of orangutans and the VMU Honorary Doctor, is paying a visit to Lithuania.
