The Second COREnet Management Committee Meeting Held in Kaunas
The second meeting of the COREnet Management Committee and Working Groups took place in Kaunas, Lithuania, on 27–28 June, and was the first live meeting of both the Management Committee and Working Groups. For three days, COREnet members – researchers on religion and migration – presented the work done so far in the first year of the Action and discussed the next steps.

Call for Participants to Attend VMU World Lithuanian Symposium
Vytautas Magnus University invites to participate in the VMU World Lithuanian University Symposium, which will take place in 2022, October 27–29, in Kaunas live and remotely. The symposium is being held to commemorate the centenary of the University of Lithuania. Taking into account the current events of recent years, the aim is to open up space for discussions, focused on the themes of freedom and its forms.
Scholarship of S. Banaitis Awarded for Researching Eastern Cultures
Greta Dirsė, a student of the master’s in History of the Central Eastern European Region and Lithuania at the Faculty of Humanities of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), has been awarded the fifth nominal scholarship of 2329,48€, established by the signatory of the Act of Independence of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr. Saliamonas Banaitis.
The best evaluated teachers by students at VMU in 2021-2022
At the end of each semester, the VMU conducts a survey "Teaching and Learning Evaluation". The aim of the survey is to find out about students‘ experiences, to learn their opinions about teachers and their own work in the study courses, and to evaluate students‘ suggestions and feedback. This relevant feedback information helps to respond in a timely manner and make decisions on how to improve the quality of studies and develop a culture of respectful cooperation, creating an inclusive study environment.

16th International Scientific Conference "The Vital Nature Sign" was organized online on May 12-13, 2022, by Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania), Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, and Nordic Separation Science Society. The Conference is organized annually and provides an opportunity to present the most recent scientific results to colleagues and guests of the Conference for no conference fee.
Centre of Ukraine Opened at VMU Education Academy
On Saturday, 11 June, the unique Centre of Ukraine was opened at the premises of VMU Education Academy (T. Ševčenkos. 31, Vilnius). The centre will not only bring together the Ukrainian community based in Lithuania, but also take care of their needs by offering an open space for culture, education and community services.

VMU Sports Centre invites students and employees of the University to spend the month of June being active and taking advantage of the outdoor spaces of the President Valdas Adamkus Sports Centre: the treadmill, the beach volleyball court, and the basketball courts. Pre-registration is required for those wishing to exercise.
