VMU Sport and Health Week: Health Check-ups and Sports Tournaments
On 4-8 April, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) hosted the Sports and Health Week, initiated, and organised by the VMU Sports Centre, which this year was dedicated not only to World Health Day, but also to the 100th anniversary of the University of Lithuania. For the fifth year running, the event aims to highlight the importance of health to the university community and to remind them of the need to take care of their physical condition. Throughout the week, the VMU community was invited to take part in various sports tournaments and Health Day.

Psychological Support Platform has been Established for Ukrainians
In response to the terrible situation in Ukraine, the Global Initiative on Psychiatry (FGIP) and partners are developing a psychological support platform for Ukrainians. The platform aims to provide guidance to the public and mental health professionals on how to deal with the psychological consequences of the war. Emotional support groups for Ukrainian students are also organised by the VMU Psychology Clinic.

VMU Organizes Free Lithuanian Language Courses for Ukrainians
Vytautas Magnus University offers free-of-charge intensive and short Lithuanian language courses for Ukrainian war refugees who wish to learn the basics of the Lithuanian language. These courses aim to develop the language skills of those learning Lithuanian, in order to help them to adapt and live in Lithuania.
