Medal of Merit Awarded to Ann Charles, Baltic Review’s UN Bureau Chief
VMU has awarded the Silver Medal of Merit to Lithuanian-American Ann Charles, UN Bureau Chief at The Baltic Review, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania. The medal was awarded as gratitude for Ann Charles' work as representative of Lithuania in the UN, for her contribution to making the Baltic States visible in the international arena, and for her role in establishing Lithuanian UN Youth Association (LUNYA) at VMU.
Open lecture by Prof. C. Upender Rao from India
On April 17th, 2018 11:15 A.M. VMU Centre for Asian Studies invites all to the open lecture by Prof. C. Upender Rao “World peace through ancient Indian wisdom”. The lecture will be held in English in room 310 (V. Putvinskio st. 23, Kaunas). The event is free of charge and open to everyone.

VMU Prof. J. S. Gordon: War for Protection of Our Data Is Already Lost
As AI and smart technologies keep improving, people are increasingly faced with unexpected problems. Can intelligent robots have rights? How to ensure security of data online? Who is responsible for the accidents of self-driving cars? These and other questions are explored in a new project by the scientists of VMU where experts of technologies, law and ethics have joined forces and plan cooperation with scientists in the USA and Europe.

On Thursday 15 March, 5 p.m., at VMU Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy (Gedimino g. 44, Room 202), Dr. Konstantinas Andrijauskas, Associate Professor of Asian Studies and International Politics from Vilnius University, will hold a lecture entitled “China’s Relations with (Re-)Emerging Powers and Regions”.
