Symposium Pursues Stronger and More Competitive Lithuania

The organizers of the 15th annual World Lithuanian Symposium on Arts and Sciences are kindly inviting to come to the event, which will be held on July 3-5, 2011 in Kaunas and Vilnius.

The 15th annual World Lithuanian Symposium on Arts and Sciences will be exceptional, because it will be organized jointly with the World Lithuanian Economic Forum. These two important events are united by the idea that Lithuania is global, yet still wearing the face of its own identity, and strong enough to take on new challenges. Therefore, it was decided to hold a collaborative session, which would spread the word and bring together Lithuanian scientists, businessmen and anyone holding Lithuania dear, scattered around the world. The gathering will have the purpose of using the best experiences and creating Lithuania of the future.

The topic of the 15th World Lithuanian Symposium on Arts and Sciences is the creation of a strong and competitive country. It is the energy of scientific posibilities and youth initiatives, strengthening of scientific and business collaborations, preservation of Lithuanian identity. Trying to reach these goals, Lithuania has already invested almost 2 billion Lt into the development of science and technology.

The aim of the symposium is to strengthen contacts and establish useful relations among scientists, businessmen or culture figures from Lithuania or of Lithuanian origin. Internationally famous Lithuanian scientists will be participating, while numerous institutions and organizations will be significantly contributing to the preparatory works of the symposium, such as Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius University, Research Council of Lithuania, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, World Lithuanian Community.

Highest ranking officials of Lithuanian government, ministers, widely known Lithuanian and Diaspora scientists and culture figures will read papers and participate in discussions.
