Honorary Doctorate Acceptance Speech by HE Michael D. Higgins

On 20 June, during the festive meeting of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Senate, His Excellency Michael D. Higgins, the President of Ireland, was awarded the VMU Honorary Doctorate. The honourable guest thanked the university for the award and discussed the future of Europe and the importance of education: the kind that prepares you for life as well as for work.
