Recent graduates and current students are facing numerous challenges when attempting to secure jobs in entry-level positions. They feel uncertain about their degree or what comes next after graduation and are struggling to find summer employment that aligns with their studies and passions. A couple of months before the end of the semester, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) extends a helping hand to current students and graduates who are feeling overwhelmed as they embark on their job-searching journey.
That’s why the VMU Career Centre and International Cooperation Department invite current students and graduates to join an online event on the topic of “Insider Tips for Landing Entry-Level Positions”.

VMU Career Centre Chief Coordinator Orinta Petrovaitė
Having graduated with a degree in Psychology, my professional journey began with a HR recruitment agency, where I collaborated with various companies and candidates. Exploring opportunities further, I ventured into the tech industry, broadening my understanding of organizational dynamics and career progression.
Throughout my professional path, I have been curious about the clues to a successful career. While there may not be a 100% efficient formula, my experience with companies and candidates has shown certain foundational principles essential for navigating the ever-evolving landscape of careers.

VMU International Cooperation and Marketing Department Senior Specialist Ganna Tron
I spent three years working on the international education website Unistudy, where I hosted over 30 webinars covering topics such as motivational letters, recommendations, and cover letters. Through these webinars, I assisted countless future applicants in accurately describing their achievements and previous experiences. During my tenure from 2019 to 2021, I gained extensive experience in consulting on motivational letters for various purposes, including university applications, scholarships, volunteering, and job-seeking endeavors. Currently, I am employed at the International Cooperation Department, Marketing Unit in VMU.
I have been a guest speaker at various events discussing the job-searching process and strategies in both Ukraine and Lithuania: “Get a job in Lithuania: how?”, “My Career 2022: What Does the Employer Expect?” and others. I am eager to share my knowledge and experiences with you.
