VMU Students Were Awarded Nominal Scholarships by R1 Lietuva

On 26 st of June, Senate meeting took place at Vytautas Magnus University. At this meeting, third/fourth year BA or first/second year MA students with higher academic achievements (grade average for the previous semester must be 9 or higher) and strong involvement in social and public activities within the university and beyond, were awarded by “R1 Lietuva” nominal scholarships.
“R1 Lietuva” scholarship contest was held for a third year in a row. This year, the interest in scholarships was particularly high – 82 candidates for the III-IV Bachelor’s or I-II Master’s studies were participated. Also, foreign students of permanent studies were eligible to apply for the nominal scholarships established by “R1 Lietuva”.
200 EUR “R1 Lietuva” scholarships were awarded to the best university students and graduates in the following fields of study:
- Humanities – Žygimantas Menčenkovas
- Engineering and Technology – Romualdas Lapickis
- Life Sciences – Gabija Vaitkevičiūtė
- Agricultural Sciences – Ugnė Kilaitė
- Arts – Gabrielė Skormanaitė
- Social Sciences – Žygimantas Mozūraitis ir Daumantas Skinkys
Scholarships were presented by the representative of “R1 Lietuva”, Senior Representative of the Department Agnė Jurkšienė. She congratulates students with excellent study results and great public activities.
