VMU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Adelphi University in New York
During a working visit to the USA, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Rector Prof. Juozas Augutis and Vice-Rector for Communication Assoc. Prof. Vilma Bijeikienė signed a cooperation agreement with Adelphi University in New York.
The meeting, attended by representatives from Adelphi University, discussed extensive collaboration between the universities in research and studies across various fields—from music to technology, including the field of social work, which initiated the longstanding relationship between VMU and Adelphi University over a decade ago. The signing of the agreement also included discussions on the exchange of students, faculty, and researchers, as well as the prospects for summer schools and joint events.
In addition to VMU representatives, the meeting was attended by Adelphi University’s Provost and Executive Vice President Chris Storm, Dean of the School of Social Work Joanne Corbin, Associate Provost for Student Success, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Diann Cameron Kelly, Director of the Centre for International Education Shannon Harrison, and Associate Provost for Faculty Support and Global Affairs Susan Briziarelli, Dean of Liberal Arts College Vincent Wang.
