" I seek to invite my students to engage with various aspects of extremely rich German culture as well as to facilitate their access to what is of greatest value today: professional networks and numerous sources of information in the German language. I also try to give students as many opportunities as possible to gain practical experience so that they would become real experts on Germany and competent intermediaries between our countries.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rūta Eidukevičienė, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Programme Lecturer

Nowadays, it's no longer English that offers great opportunities, but knowledge of other languages. Even before I graduated the VMU study programme “German and Communication”, I had job offers and orders to cover by three more people. Studying German at VMU not only allows you to consolidate what you already know (or to learn German from the very beginning), but it also gives you a broader perspective on language, communication and the culture of German-speaking countries. Not to mention the fact that I travelled all over Europe while studying at VMU - I don't know if any other university offers such a wide variety of study programmes and short-term courses abroad.

My years of study allowed me to grow and confidently embrace challenges. While learning the Italian language, I met many remarkable people whom I can now call Friends and, most importantly, I found my path—one that leads towards great dreams and goals! I am especially grateful for the literature lectures, which helped me realise my passion for creative writing and my desire to paint the brightest pictures with the written word.
