Sport and Health Week – get active with the VMU Sports Centre

On 4-8 April, the VMU Sports Centre is organising a Sport and Health Week to celebrate International Health Day and the 100th anniversary of the University of Lithuania. On all days of the event, the Sports Centre will invite the university community to be physically active and socially responsible. Physical activity is a preventive measure against many non-communicable diseases. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week is necessary to maintain good physical health.
During the Sport and Health Week, basketball, volleyball, chess, football, and badminton competitions will take place, and on 7 April, a physical activity and wellness studio will be set up in the lobby of the VMU ŽŪA Main building. Participants will have the opportunity to take tests to assess their physical condition, and specialist consultations will be available. These tests and consultations will be free of charge for VMU students, lecturers, and staff.
To participate in the sports tournaments or the health day, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
