Seminar “Understanding Youth Migration from Ukraine: Adaptation, Challenges, and Everyday Realities in Lithuania”

We invite you to a seminar “Understanding Youth Migration from Ukraine: Adaptation, Challenges, and Everyday Realities in Lithuania”, hosted by Dmytro Mamaiev. The seminar will take place on March 6 (Thursday) at 16:00 at Jonavos g. 66, Room 108 (V. Kavolis Auditorium), Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas, Lithuania.
How do young migrants from Ukraine navigate their new lives in Lithuania? What challenges do they face, and how do they perceive their integration into society? This presentation will explore these questions by uncovering diverse personal narratives of adaptation and belonging.
Using a mix of sociological research and qualitative insights, researcher Dmytro Mamaiev will take a closer look at the trends shaping Ukrainian migration to Lithuania. By examining economic, social, and cultural aspects of migrants’ daily experiences, he aims to provide a deeper, more human perspective on the situation with Ukrainian youth across the communities in Lithuania.
Join us for an engaging discussion that goes beyond statistics – exploring real stories, different viewpoints, and the broader impact of migration. Whether you’re interested in sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, or simply curious about the experiences of young migrants, this session will offer valuable insights and thought-provoking discussions!
The event will be photographed and/or filmed; therefore, please note that you might be featured in photos or videos which can be published in various media outlets.
