“I learned a lot of things about Korean culture and history”

It was an amazing opportunity to see the country, meet new people and learn way more than I could’ve in my home university.

Some courses were similar to the ones we have at home, and others were different but all of them offered a deep insight into the topics and materials. The quality of my studies was high, with a lot of homework and classwork as well as homework, but it helped me to learn more about the subjects I was studying, try new studying methods and challenge myself.

The accommodation offered by the university was pretty good and comfortable, inside the campus, so travelling to lectures was easy.

It was a little bit tough with expenses, because there were a lot of places I wanted to visit and a lot of things to buy, but the scholarship offered by VMU was really helpful.

As always in Korea, there was a nice neighbourhood around the campus with many leisure and entertainment opportunities, so it was really fun. I met a lot of new people with whom I travelled and participated in university activities.

The university staff was really nice and helpful, always ready to help whenever there was an issue. Knowing the Korean language was a big bonus for me because I could converse with staff who didn’t know English (for example, with ladies working in the canteen) and speak with people outside the university.

It was a bit difficult to adapt at first, but I managed to do it pretty quickly and there were people who helped me in this journey, so I am really grateful for this opportunity.
