Scholarships Awarded to Students for Academic or Artistic Achievements
For the first time this year, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) announced a competition for scholarships for scientific or artistic achievements for VMU students, which aims to encourage students to pursue scientific or artistic activities.

On 26 May, Georgia celebrates its Independence Day. In order to commemorate this day, the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vytautas Magnus University and the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy are inviting you to the meeting with the Ambassador of Georgia in Lithuania, Salome Shapakidze, on 22 May.

Young People from Ukraine and Lithuania will Unite for a Discussion
On 23 May, at 3 p.m., schoolchildren and VMU students from Lithuania and Ukraine will gather at the Small Hall of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). Together with VMU professors Gintautas Mažeikis and Andžej Pukšto, young people will participate in the discussion “Europe and Ukraine – Today and Tomorrow” and launch the “Think Tank” tradition at the University, which originates from the Centre of Ukraine in Vilnius.

Open Competition for Nominal Scholarship of V. and S. Čepukėnas
The Kazickas Family Foundation, Neila Baumilienė, graduate of Vytautas Magnus University, the daughters, Milda and Rasa Čepukėnas, have established a Scholarship in memory of Drs. V. and S. Čepukėnas. Its purpose is to nurture the French language and Francophone culture, enabling the most active students to get to know and study it more deeply, and to foster and spread it in the society.

Customs Professionals are Considered Valuable as Gold
Customs professionals play a crucial role in facilitating international trade and ensuring that goods are imported and exported legally and safely. They are responsible for ensuring that imports and exports comply with laws and regulations related to trade, such as tariffs, duties, and quotas. According to professor dr. Kārlis Ketners, any company that operates across international borders must maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the tax regime in any country they conduct business in as worldwide tax authorities become increasingly stringent in their attitude towards ensuring tax law compliance. Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy (VMU AA) invites to study an intensive online one-year MBA programme “Customs Process Management” which focuses on the preparation of high-level managers for business and public sector organizations operating in the field of customs and, according to associate professor Erika Besusparienė, is intended for individuals who aspire to became leaders in the customs business.
