Online Seminar on Gender Equality in Organisations
On Tuesday, 31 January, at 2 p.m., a seminar titled “Promoting Gender Equality in Organisations: Approaches and Practices” will be hosted by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). The seminar will be held online, and previous registration is needed. All registered participants will receive attendance certificates.

Nominations for the President Valdas Adamkus Prize are Now Open
Submissions for nominations for the President Valdas Adamkus Prize begin on 20 January. The Prize of the Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum and Dana Gedvila Fund will be awarded for laudable and noteworthy achievements and efforts to protect and restore the natural environment in Lithuania and its neighbouring countries, and to ensure the sustainability of resources.

Student Registration into Study Subjects for Spring Semester 2023
The first stage of the spring semester 2022/2023 registration for lectures, seminars and laboratory works will take place on 24-30 January.

J. Kuper’s Presentation on Modern Developments in ICT
January 20, 2 p.m., Jan Kuper, a Dutch scientist, professor emeritus of the University of Enschede in the Netherlands and founder of the QBayLogic company, will hold a lecture on the latest developments in ICT. The lecture will take place in the Small Hall of Vytautas Magnus University (S. Daukanto st. 28).

Scholarships and Other Social Benefits Increased as of January, 2023
From January 1, 2023, the Base Rates of Social Benefits has been increased by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, from 46€ to 49€. The increase in the BSB will result in an increase in the social benefits, that depend on it, including student scholarships.

The Centre of Ukraine – a Space for Fellowship and Cooperation
The Centre for Ukraine, established in the summer of 2022 at the VMU Education Academy in Vilnius, became a second home for Ukrainians in less than a year. According to Algirdas Kumža, the Head of the Centre and former Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine, here Ukrainians celebrate holidays, socialise, form art groups, and forget the horrors of war at least for a little while.
