University Fees Exemptions Were Awarded for Students

VMU publishes the results of an open competition for university fee exemptions for Autumn semester 2020/2021. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).

Competition for Erasmus+ Virtual Teaching Visits

All teachers who want to participate in the competition are welcome to submit their filled-in and agreed teaching agreement to erasmus@vdu.lt. The agreement form must be submitted until 8th of October, 2020.

VMU Doctoral Student was Awarded Banaitis Scholarship

Gerda Pilipaitytė, a PhD student in Philology at the Department of Lithuanian Studies at Vytautas Magnus University, was awarded with a third nominal scholarship of S. Banaitis, a signatory of the Act of Independence of the Republic of Lithuania, for her research in the activities and works of a Lithuanian traveler, publisher and publicist Julija Pranaitytė.

Academician Juozas Augutis Re-Elected as VMU Rector for Second Term

On 15 September, the Council of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) elected the new head of the university. Academician Juozas Augutis has been re-elected as the rector of VMU, which is the broadest range and second-largest university in Lithuania. VMU rector is elected for a term of five years. The new term begins on 1 October.
