VMU Will Hold Celebration of New Academic Year

On Wednesday 1 September, at 1 p.m., in the garden of the Vytautas Magnus War Museum, VMU will hold its celebration dedicated to the start of the academic year. The event will include the traditional freshman pledge, greeting speeches by the VMU Rector Juozas Augutis, the President of the Students’ Representative Council Ieva Vengrovskaja and other honourable guests, and a performance by the indie pop band Sisters on Wire.

European Day of Languages with the Transform4Europe Alliance

The Transform4Europe alliance invites you to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the European Day of Languages on 24 September together. With this initiative we wish to promote multilingualism and language learning as an inevitable component of HE in Europe, raise awareness among the communities of all partner universities about the languages of the Transform4Europe alliance and engage the communities of all partner universities and their stakeholders in a discussion of the benefits and challenges that linguistic diversity brings into the European corporate, public, and academic discourses.

EU4Belarus: The Call for Applications for Students

The European Union under the “EU4Belarus: Solidarity with the people of Belarus” programme is launching a call for proposals for EU4Belarus – SALT (Support for Advanced Learning and Training) scholarships for Belarusian students who are already studying at universities in Lithuania, Latvia,Czechia, and Poland, as well as for those who will start their studies in the academic years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023.

VMU Graduates from Ukraine Were Awarded Diplomas in Kyiv

In a ceremony at the Embassy of Lithuania in Kyiv on 6 August, diplomas were awarded to Ukrainian graduates of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) who completed their studies remotely and did not come to Kaunas to receive their diplomas.
