Naturalist Selemonas Paltanavičius Received the President Valdas Adamkus Prize for Long-Standing Educational Work
In a ceremony at the VMU Botanical Garden, the Environmental Prize of Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum and Dana Gedvila Fund was awarded to naturalist Selemonas Paltanavičius.
VMU Arts Festival – Performances by All Arts Centre Ensembles and the Spirit of Europe Day
On May 9th, Vytautas Magnus University hosted a special Arts Festival, featuring performances by all ensembles of the VMU Arts Centre – from choirs and dance groups to theatrical and musical collectives. Dedicated to celebrating Europe Day, the event invited everyone to honor the freedom of creativity, cultural diversity, and the sense of togetherness that unites us as both an academic and European community.
Live Sound Concert – “MUSIC LAB”
On 23rd of May 2025 (Friday) at 5 p.m., we invite you to a live concert titled “Music Lab”, featuring students of the Music Production programme at the Faculty of Arts and their guests. The concert will take place in the VMU Faculty of Arts courtyard (Muitinės g. 7, Kaunas).
VMU to Host Public Lectures by Lithuanian-Origin Film Professor Dr. Gabriel M. Paletz
“A sense of the absurd united [Eastern European] nations as a shared response to coercive regimes”, says film professor of Lithuanian origin, graduate of Yale University Dr. Gabriel M. Paletz who will hold a series of public lectures at VMU dedicated to film history, screenwriting and other topics.
